Van Conversions

Transform your van into your dream vehicle

Many people consider vans to be the ultimate utility vehicles. Many companies use work vans instead of work trucks, and being the soccer mom's vehicle of choice has to count for something. Whether you're looking at the minivan or a full-sized version, the incredible versatility of vans has led to the van conversion trend.

Van conversion involves altering or changing the interior of a van for a specific function, such as wheelchair access. Some conversions will improve the utility and versatility of the van, while others will improve appearance and comfort. Companies manufacture all kinds of specialty vans, such as retail sales vans, limousine vans, mobile medical clinic vans and even dog-wash vans. Basically, the back of your van can be turned into almost anything to create your ultimate dream van.

Types of Conversion Vans

Vans are being converted for all kinds of purposes. Here are some of the most popular conversions:

  • Wheelchair conversions - Many of the popular family minivans such as the Dodge Caravan, Ford Freestar and the Honda Odyssey are being converted to make them wheelchair-friendly. The vans are transformed to allow the drivers and passengers to travel with ease and comfort. Some of the features of the converted van include a lowered floor, more interior space and headroom, a lower angle power ramp, removable front seats, power doors and a wheelchair tie-down system. This conversion provides unrestricted access to the vehicle and a comfortable ride.
  • Explorer conversions - Explorer is a company offering van conversions that are custom-designed for the growing family or avid traveler. They are customized to suit the demands of any lifestyle with versatility as their number-one priority. Explorer vans are the ultimate luxury vehicle - they are part entertainment center, part construction vehicle, part kitchen, part RV and part locker room. The possibilities are endless with the wide variety of customizable features. They're more than transportation, they're a second home. The company offers conversions for Chevrolet, Ford, GMC and Dodge vans.
  • Work / retail van conversions - Many companies are using work vans instead of work trucks because of the large interior space and utility of vans. The back seats are removed in work vans and the space is used for cargo storage. They may or may not have side windows in the back, and the sliding door is replaced with a normal door.
  • Camper conversions - If you have an extremely large van, it could be converted to a camping van. Couch seating, kitchen facilities, tables, televisions and even a bed can be added to the back of your van to transform it into a mini-RV. It'll be the perfect van for daytrips or weekend camping trips.

Working a rural circuit of six small county jails, most of the jails have little or no "Visitor office" space . As a Bondman need a secure area to interview defendanta and family. Also would double as transport for those who "forget" to go to court.
