General Motors is now offering Microheat HotShots as a factory option on some of their most popular vehicles. The brands in question include Cadillac, GMC, Buick, Chevrolet, Saturn and Hummer.
The Microheat HotShot is a hot washer fluid system that cleans and de-ices vehicle windshields - why has no manufacturer thought of this before? The HotShot product is a direct result of the innovation and technology of Microheat.
The heated washer system clears away bugs, dirt, mud, tree sap and grime with a push of a button - tasks which are impossible for normal cold washer systems. It leaves a streak-free windshield with reduced glare for improved visibility. In the winter, the heating action thaws frozen nozzles and releases wiper blades to clear frost and ice in only two minutes, making scrapers unnecessary.
Microheat manufacturers a number of clear driving products other than the windshield washer system:
The washer system works on all types of vehicles, including cars, trucks, vans and buses. It weighs a mere 1.1 pounds and fits neatly under the hood. The system works intelligently by spraying just the right amount of fluid at the right intervals, at the right temperature and using the right amount of energy. It is the only product that uses microprocessors, hardware and software to regulate the vehicle washer systems.
It can be used in two modes: automatic and standby. Automatic mode is used for clearing snow, ice, dirt, bugs and grime before driving, and standby mode is used while driving. Unlike heated windshields they require little power, are easily replaceable and will remove all kinds of debris.
The Microheat HotShot is highly recommended. With a heated windshield washer fluid system, poor visibility is a thing of the past. Try it out on a new GM vehicle or have it installed in your current ride with the aftermarket unit, available in 2008.
